The official website of the television anime adapting Mai Tanaka's Youkai Gakkou no Sensei Hajimemashita! (A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School!) manga revealed the main cast, staff, and a teaser visual (pictured) on Wednesday. The television anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2024. Ryouta Oosaka (Hataraku Maou-sama!) is starring as Haruaki Abe. Tanaka began serializing the school comedy manga in Monthly GFantasy magazine in November 2014. Square Enix shipped the 16th volume in December 2023. The manga has a cumulative 850,000 copies of its volumes in circulation. Yen Press licensed the manga in English in 2017. The 14th volume went on sale on June 18, with the 15th volume scheduled to be released on September 17.
