The official website of the Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san (Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian) television anime revealed additional staff and a second promotional video on Wednesday. The television anime is scheduled to air on July 3 at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by 23 other stations. Alya, voiced by Sumire Uesaka (Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san), is performing the opening theme "1-Ban Kagayaku Hoshi." Alya will also be performing different song covers for the ending themes each week. The promotional video below previews Alya's cover of KAF and ZOOKARADERU's Himitsu no Kotoba (Secret Word) collaborative song, a song released in April 2023 to celebrate the anime adaptation. Ryouta Itou (Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san) is directing and handling the series composition at Doga Kobo. Yuuhei Murota (Love Live! School Idol Project) is both designing the characters and serving as the chief animation director. Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san) is composing the music. The anime adapts Sun Sun Sun's romantic comedy light novel, which began on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in May 2020. Kadokawa released the first volume in February 2021 under its Sneaker Bunko imprint, featuring illustrations by Momoco. The eighth volume went on sale on February 1. Saho Tanamachi began serializing a manga adaptation on the Magazine pocket app in October 2022. Kodansha published the fourth volume on April 9, and the fifth volume is scheduled to be released on August 7. Yen Press licensed the light novel in English in April 2022. The fourth volume went on sale in October 2023, and a short story volume was released on March 19. The fifth volume is scheduled to be released on August 20. 2
