• Masahiko Oota (Gabriel DropOut) helms the anime at WIT Studio. Takashi Aoshima (Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Ayumu Tsujimura (Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song animation director) is designing the characters and Yasuhiro Misawa (Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru!) is composing the music.
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Oshioshio's Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan (My Deer Friend Nokotan) manga revealed additional cast, theme songs, key visual (pictured), and a second promotional video on Tuesday. The anime series will begin airing on July 7 at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX and BS NTV.
The main cast, composed of Megumi Han, Saki Fujita, Rui Tanabe, and Fuuka Izumi, is performing the opening theme "Shikairo Days" as their characters. Han and Fujita will also perform the ending theme "Shika Senbei no Uta" as their characters. The opening is previewed in the promotional video below.
Oshioshio originally began the school comedy manga in Shounen Magazine Edge in November 2019. Following the magazine's discontinuation in October 2023, the manga transferred to the Magazine pocket app in December that year. Kodansha published the fifth volume on May 9.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in July 2021 and released the fourth volume in October 2023.
