A television anime adaptation of Sai Naekawa's Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi (This Monster Wants to Eat Me) manga was announced by Pony Canyon on Monday, scheduled to premiere in 2025. Production company Infinite also opened an official website, revealing the main cast, staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promo. Voice actress Reina Ueda (Ao no Hako, Kimi wa Meido-sama.) is starring as Hinako Yaotose. Naekawa began serializing the girls love drama manga in Dengeki Maoh magazine in August 2020. Kadokawa published the eighth volume on February 26. Yen Press licensed the manga in English in January 2024 and released the second volume on September 17. The third volume is scheduled to go on sale on January 21. Synopsis "I've come to eat you," so softly utters the mermaid Shiori as she emerges from the sea and takes high school girl Hinako by the hand.
