The official website of the Fuuto Tantei (Fuuto PI) anime series announced a movie subtitled Kamen Rider Skull no Shouzou (Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull) on Sunday, revealing a teaser visual (pictured), teaser trailer, and new cast. The anime movie is scheduled for a limited screening beginning on November 8.
Voice actor Kenjirou Tsuda (Gokushufudou, Chainsaw Man) is joining the cast as Narumi Soukichi. The movie will adapt the Begins Night episode from the Kamen Rider W series.
Yasutaka Kimura (Ta ga Tame no Alchemist), Masaru Obata (Uma Musume: Pretty Derby Season 2), and Shun Shibata (Boku no Hero Academia 4th Season key animation) are joining the staff with Kenta Yokoya as main animators.
Yousuke Kabashima (D.Gray-man Hallow chief animation director) is returning to helm the movie at Studio Kai. Tatsuto Higuchi (Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight) is penning the script and Hidekazu Ebina (Fate/Apocrypha creature design) is designing the characters. Koutarou Nakagawa (Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch) and Shuuhei Naruse (Hundred) are composing the music.
Fuuto Tantei adapts Riku Sanjou and Masaki Satou's action mystery manga, which serves as a sequel to the 2009 television drama Kamen Rider W, the 11th entry in the drama series. The anime series aired in 12 episodes in Summer 2022, roughly covering the first five volumes.
Sanjou and Satou began serializing the manga in Big Comic Spirits magazine in August 2017. Shogakukan published the 16th volume on April 30.
